2016 is shaping up to be another blockbuster year. Check out the new trailer below for Independence Day: Resurgence. There is also promotional website called the War of 1996 that recounts the history of the events that took place in the original film, including the complete destruction of Las Vegas which is now a memorial to the original attack. Also contained is some surprising information about the whereabouts of Will Smith's character, Capt. Steven Hiller. Studios are really stepping up the promotional game by beefing up their movie websites. For example, the promotional website for Jurassic World is one such example of doing it right. If you didn't get to see it before the release, the website featured a complete park map and monorail updates that gave the fictional world a much more real world feel. This included live park cams that were showing areas of the park sans any devastation. Boy I wish it were real, I'd so be on a plane right now! On the day of the premiere, those park cams began broadcasting the park in chaos. It was fun and totally ??expected. I'm sure the Independence Day: Resurgence promotional website will too evolve as the release date arrives. In the meantime, check it out and start stockpiling your supplies for your bomb alien shelter.
